Tyler & Rebekah | Athens Surprise Proposal
session type: Surprise Proposal at Elder Mill Covered Bridge
location: Elder Mill Covered Bridge, Watkinsville & The National Restaurant, Athens
photographer: Danielle Brown
When Tyler first contacted me about photographing his Athens surprise proposal, he had a game plan. I LOVE when guys have a game plan for their surprise proposal.
With everyone in place, Tyler parked on the far side of the historic Elder Mill covered bridge and walked over with Rebekah.
I always LOVE when the proposer gets down on one knee! It’s not a true proposal if he doesn’t get down on one knee.
When Tyler was going over his plan, he shared that there was another very important part of his proposal. His son. Tyler’s son was SUPER CUTE! Clearly, Rebekah has a great relationship with Tyler and his son.
With every surprise proposal, we do a few engagement portraits. With the weather and location, we did a couple brief portraits before going on to Athens.
After the initial proposal and quickie portrait session, it was on to Athens!
Check out some other bridge proposals here.
Athens surprise proposal
The National’s patio area is beautiful! The city of Athens, Georgia is a great town! Not only is Athens home to the University of Georgia, but so many great restaurants. The National was a gracious host to Tyler & Rebekah’s engagement party and mini-portrait session.
Tyler didn’t tell me how he got Rebekah looking so killer for the day, but who cares! Rebekah looked awesome!
Tyler & Rebekah looked so cute just taking a walk. I really believe you can see the love when a couple looks into each other’s eyes. An impromptu engagement portrait session is always a good idea following your Athens surprise proposal.
We always like to grab a couple photos of friends and family attending your engagement party after your Athens surprise proposal.
