Holly & Alex | Centennial Park Surprise Proposal
session type: Surprise proposal at Centennial Olympic Park
location: Skyview Ferris Wheel & Centennial Olympic Park, Atlanta
photographer: Danielle Brown
With most surprise proposals, it’s not just “him” doing all the work. When Alex proposed to Holly, their friends were in full support mode. Initially, Alex took Holly up on the Skyview ferris wheel to set the scene. While Alex and Holly were enjoying the ride, Alex’s friends were meeting me and making sure everything was in place for a picture-perfect marriage proposal.
So quietly tucked around the corner, a few of Alex and Holly’s closest Atlanta-based friends are waiting… and waiting.
Alex walks Holly up to the spot where a lovely bouquet is “just waiting” for them.
Then it’s down on one knee! Alex knew that his Centennial Park surprise proposal wouldn’t be complete without it!
It’s looking like a “YES!” from Holly.
When friends and family help with your proposal, I always like to give a couple minutes for everyone to take in the moment. Also, Holly was really surprised by the proposal and more than a little overwhelmed. Everyone reacts differently to surprise marriage proposals, so I like to give the “proposee” a little time to compose herself before we get on to more pictures.
As always, we did a mini-engagement session with Holly and Alex after he “popped the question” in his own unique way. After that, we let the newly engaged couple enjoy the fun and celebration with their close friends. Not to be missed, we also took a few toasting shots of Holly, Alex and their close friends. I’d say that Alex’s Centennial Park surprise proposal went incredibly well. Holly will be telling this story for a long time! Great job everyone, you pulled off the perfect surprise proposal at Centennial Olympic Park.
Impromptu Engagement Pary
From there, Alex, Holly and friends went on to dinner and an impromptu engagement party!
